SHD has had the pleasure to create and collaborate on several commercial projects. Two banks were a collaboration with the bank owner and other commercial designers.  It was important to the owners that their vision was reflected in these public spaces.  Selecting art, furniture and accessorizing the lobbies helped to make the banks feel welcoming to the customers.

SHD has also been called on to help create an inviting gathering space for a private club and a private practice.  Just like residential projects, it is important to understand how the spaces will be used and by whom.  Each hardworking space needs to feel cozy, but stand up to daily use and traffic.
