Sarah grew up in Houston and is now based in the Texas Hill Country. While she didn’t start out in design, the foundation began at an early age when her grandmother gave her a dollhouse, which she spent countless hours decorating and restyling.
Sarah counts her grandmother, a native of New Orleans, as one of her biggest design inspirations. With a minor in Art, being creative has always been important.
Sarah Hardin Design began after Sarah tackled a major project on a historic home in Boerne. After her home was complete, friends started calling for help with their own projects. Sarah soon found herself in demand creating warm, collected spaces using antiques, custom furniture and beautiful textiles.
SHD has now grown to include projects outside of the Hill Country and even beyond Texas featuring many different styles.

Bringing Sarah Hardin on as our designer has been one of the best decisions we have made. Sarah has the most calm demeanor, is unbelievably organized, and has a gifted eye. She has helped our family with several projects over the years, and every renovation (large or small) has always exceeded all expectations. Sarah has a natural ability to prioritize her clients personalities and style, while pulling things together beautifully.
